About KipenO

What we do
KipenO is an educational website dedicated to making cryptocurrency understandable before any money is risked. We started with beginner guides on stablecoins, wallets, fees and networks, and we now focus on one vertical in depth: crypto perpetual futures and the leverage machinery around them — funding rates, liquidation prices, margin modes and long/short mechanics, explained with worked examples and browser-based calculators.
We deliberately do not publish price predictions, buy/sell signals, target prices or "guaranteed returns" content. Our only claim is that understanding the product before trading it improves your odds of surviving it.
Our mission
The crypto world can be overwhelming, and leveraged products are the fastest way for a new account to go to zero. KipenO fills the gap: clear, honest, practical content that helps you understand what these products are, how their mechanics work, and how to keep risk bounded — no jargon, no hype.
What we cover
- Perpetual mechanics: funding rates, mark and index prices, contract specifications and cost of carry.
- Margin & leverage: initial and maintenance margin, isolated vs cross, sizing and return on margin.
- Liquidations: liquidation and bankruptcy prices, fees, insurance funds, ADL and cascades.
- Short selling: perp short mechanics, squeezes, payoff asymmetry and pre-entry checklists.
- Beginner fundamentals: stablecoins, wallets, fees and networks — the Crypto Basics archive.
Our editorial rules
- Mechanics before opinions. Every claim about how a product behaves is supported by a formula, a worked number or a published exchange rule.
- No investment instructions. We never tell readers to open, close or size a specific trade. We give frameworks and checklists readers complete themselves.
- Risk is part of the article. Risk disclosures are not buried in a footer link; each article states what can go wrong with the mechanic it explains.
- Independent review. Articles pass an editorial review pass against exchange documentation before publishing, and the writer and reviewer are named on the page.
- Corrections policy. If a rule or formula changes, the article is updated with a revision date; material corrections are noted on the page.
What we don't do
- We do not give financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
- We do not recommend specific coins, tokens or positions.
- We do not promise returns or profits.
- We do not accept payment for reviews, and we do not describe rewards or rebates we have not verified directly with an exchange.
How we're funded
We intend to support the site through affiliate relationships with crypto exchanges: if a reader opens an account through a link on this site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to them. As of this build, no referral links are configured — every exchange button is a placeholder that points nowhere.
Affiliate revenue never changes our risk warnings. Our full funding and affiliate policy lives on the risk & compliance page, and a plain-language summary is on the disclaimer page.
Contact
Editorial corrections and exchange-rule updates are welcome via the contact address to be configured on this domain. Until then, corrections can be actioned against the exchange documentation cited in each article.
