Rina Sato

Data & Fee Analyst

Specializes in exchange fee structures, maker/taker analysis and cross-platform cost comparisons. Runs our quarterly fee audit and maintains the live fee database. All fee data on KipenO is collected from published fee schedules and verified through live desk testing — Rina oversees this process and updates rates when exchanges change their pricing.

How we fund this site. KipenO earns affiliate commissions when readers sign up for exchanges through our links. This never influences our ratings. Every exchange is scored using the same 8-category methodology regardless of affiliate relationships. We disclose all affiliate relationships on each page.

Our Testing Process

  1. Account creation & KYC: We sign up on every exchange we review, complete the full KYC process and document the time required, document requests and any geographic restrictions.
  2. Deposit testing: We test local fiat deposit methods (bank transfer, P2P, card) with real money — typically $100-500 equivalent — and record the actual processing time, fees and spreads.
  3. Fee verification: We execute standardized test trades (spot + futures) to verify published fee rates. Maker/taker rates are confirmed through limit vs market order execution. We also check for hidden costs: withdrawal fees, inactivity fees, spread markup.
  4. Regulatory research: We check local regulatory registers (CMB/SPK in Turkey, OJK/PAKD in Indonesia, VARA in UAE, etc.) to verify licensing claims. Unlicensed platforms are flagged.
  5. Ongoing monitoring: Fee schedules are re-checked quarterly. Regulatory changes trigger immediate review updates. All pages show "Last updated" dates so you know the data is current.

Corrections policy: If you find outdated or inaccurate data on any page, email us with the specific claim and your evidence. We review corrections within 48 hours and update the page with a changelog note.
